Membership Engagement: What We Are Doing to Make Membership Even Better

Since the start of this year, we have spent time engaging with you, our members, through your networks, making outbound calls and sending out a survey to get your opinion about what you want, need, and expect from EMCC UK. We did this because we realised that we are going through a seismic shift in the world, and we wanted to understand how we could better support you in the future.

We wanted to know why you are a member of EMCC UK and what you value about your membership. Also, we wanted to understand how you see the new ways of working and living impacting our profession. What do we need to have in place to be future ready as a professional body?

This was the beginning of an engagement process, to complete a needs analysis, and to re-imagine what we can offer you, our members. At the core you expect us to offer you:

• Professional development, CPD and research
• Uphold values, ethics, and standards
• Be a recognised professional body, with credibility
• Be a community and offer opportunities to network with each other
• Sustain an inclusive space which is supportive of our professional members.

But it is how we achieve these outcomes that matters and there is much more to share, this is just the beginning. We will be sharing the outcomes of our member-engagement process with your network co-ordinators and at regional events. We have exciting plans in the pipeline, and we thank you for contributing.
