Marian Rosefield, Knowledge Exchange Deputy Director of EMCC UK, announces the Spotlight series for 2024 and invites members to contribute ideas and resources to enrich the content of this month-by-month series.

We established the Spotlight series in January 2021 to engage members and provide useful opportunities for thought, and conversation to offer a reflective space. Each month, we shine a spotlight on a subject especially relevant to coaching, mentoring and supervision, loosely based on the brilliant work of our Special Interest Groups. Each month’s Spotlight includes several resources, such as webinars, CPD events, podcasts, Conversations with Authors meetings, and reading lists.

Our 2023 Spotlight series covered topics such as neurodiversity coaching and mentoring, eco coaching and climate change, building your business, supervision, research, and health and wellbeing. We’d like to take a moment to thank everyone who generously contributed their wisdom and time to make the year’s Spotlight series so rich.

During 2024, the spotlight will shine on:

April – Health and wellbeing 
May – Neurodiversity
June – Coaching in organisations (internal coaching)
July – Supervision
August – Career coaching
September – Coaching with AI
October – Coaching for diversity and inclusion
November – Leadership coaching in education (primary and secondary) 
December – Coaching for social responsibility (eco coaching)

We would love to hear from members who are excited about one or more of our Spotlight subjects, and have an idea or a resource worth sharing. We have been increasingly formalising our processes around the Spotlight series, and welcome Elaine Limond as the new Spotlight series lead.
