Dear colleagues

Thank you to those of you who responded to my call for interest in attending and organising an Open Space event to address the tragedy that is happening in Ukraine. We are looking to host the event in the week commencing 20 June, and have a planning meeting in the pipeline for the week of 9 May.

I will personally update those of you who responded, and do get in touch (my email is [email protected]) if you would like to be involved, as there is plenty of room for us all. We will post more details on social media, so do follow our updates.

On a secondary note, during my coaching work with teams and executives, I am noticing a significant increase in people experiencing extreme fatigue, overwhelm and exhaustion. After two years of the pandemic, and now the war in Ukraine, combined with other humanitarian crises, the cost of living pressures and pending recession, many people are overstretched.

As coaches and mentors, we often shoulder the emotional load of our work. So this is just a reminder about the power of supervision and peer-to-peer support for our own wellbeing during such challenges times. Our website has recently been updated to include new supervision resources, and there is a fantastic free mentor programme available for members.

Do take the time to look after yourselves. It is at times like this that our community remains so important. Thank you for your continued support of EMCC UK.
