Rachael Hanley-Browne, President of EMCC UK, writes about changes to the EMCC UK Board and Governing Body.

There have recently been some significant changes in the EMCC UK Board and Governing Body.

Peter Duffell, who served as a volunteer on the board for an incredible seven years has stepped down. We thank him for his tremendous contribution and loyal service to our membership, particularly in governance.

Also stepping down are Paul Crick, Professional Development Director, and Mark Ellery, Development Director. We thank them for their contribution. Paul established our Listening Circles, as well as our Diversity, Inclusion, Equity and Belonging group, providing us with insight into our members’ perspectives, opinions, and desires for the future of EMCC UK. Mark helped us to clarify our strategic direction and value proposition to our members.

We thank Peter, Paul and Mark for their time and investment in the growth and development of EMCC UK.

Staying on the Board are myself and Hannah Butler. I want to thank Hannah for her steadfast support and encouragement in what has been a challenging time for me as I settled into my new role as President and simultaneously rebuilt the UK Board. Hannah has done a fantastic job at developing our Knowledge Exchange directorate, launching numerous new initiatives, and building a resolute team of volunteers.

We have appointed five new directors, so there is a lot of change within the UK Board. The directors went through a revised and comprehensive recruitment process, which included a panel interview. Their appointments were unanimously supported by our Board and, where required, member elections. We are excited to share the details of those directors with you:

Hande Yaşargil – Director of Diversity and Inclusion
Sarah Bailey – Professional Development Director
Jason Rabinowitz – Non-Executive Director
Linbert Spencer OBE – Non-Executive Director
Philippa Eddie – Non-Executive Director
