Working with Emotion - Fostering Emotional Intelligence, Resilience and Workplace Wellbeing
A basic understanding of emotion, emotional reactions and interpersonal dynamics at work are essential attributes for coaching professionals: This 2 hour session will explore that notion and provide an overview of:-
Emotion at work in the workplace
The interplay between emotion, thought and action
Stress-related illness in organisations; the relationship between emotional and mental health
Emotional Intelligence – understanding and developing emotional intelligence, both for the coach and coachee, to enable them to work most effectively together
Reference will be made to world-renowned thought leaders on Emotional Intelligence as well as leading practitioners in the world of neuropsychology.
The session will be delivered through a balanced programme of presentation, discussion and experiential learning in small groups.
About the Presenter:
Judy James is a professional Coach-Therapist and Executive Coach dedicated to creating lasting change by helping people to make sense of emotion and the part it plays in inhibiting personal growth, productivity and performance.
She has more than 20 years experience working in leadership, management and consultancy roles within the public sector including the Emergency Services, NHS Trust and the Home Office, as well as commercial experience in the communications and hospitality industries.
Judy first started to provide coaching more than 15 years ago to enhance the range of personal and professional development initiatives she could offer as a specialist training consultant.
An EMCC member, Judy is also a member of the Coaching Division of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy), the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT) and alumni of the Academy of Executive Coaching.
