Health & Wellbeing SIG - Is Coaching Therapeutic? - 17th April 2024

Health and wellbeing: a topic of interest to many coaches, mentors and supervisors. However, can we consider coaching as a therapeutic modality? In this panel discussion we explore the role of coaching in a variety of modalities.  From psychotherapy, education, health coaching to a holistic wellness perspective in cancer. Our aim is to explore the role of coaching in supporting wellbeing in these contexts.

Therapeutic processes may include medical treatment, surgery, counselling and approaches that create changes in lifestyles and mindset.  Generally, they focus on improving the health and wellbeing of those using the “therapeutic” service.
This webinar is part of the EMCC UK spotlight on health and wellbeing.  The discussion will draw on the experience of practitioners working in a range of different contexts to explore the question “Is coaching therapeutic?”

For those practitioners who wish to work therapeutically, we will explore the scope of practice for those practitioners.  This will include their knowledge, experience, skills and attitudes necessary to work in this area, safely and effectively.

Please come along and join the discussion.
