Coaching for a Growth Mind Set
Far from our qualities being carved in stone, a growth mind set argues that these qualities are simply the starting point for development and can be cultivated through effort, application and experience. Our mind set determines and influences our thoughts, behaviours and actions. A coach can help their client to fulfil their potential by understanding their mind set and shaping belief systems, so effecting change.
In this session, we will be looking in greater depth at what mind set is, the factors that influence how mind set is formed and how a mind set might manifest in a coaching space. We will also look at some techniques for understanding a client’s mind set, facilitating them in understanding their own, and working to challenge and change mind set. It will be an interactive session with opportunities to explore and experiment.
About the Presenter
Pam Weeden has over twenty years’ experience in educational leadership; she now works in school improvement as well as a Coach Supervisor, Assessor, Facilitator and course designer on a range of qualifications in both coaching and mentoring, and leadership and management. Pam is passionate about the interrelatedness of the personal with the professional and through her work, she aims to develop the whole child, person or leader.

This CPD event is open to all coaches and mentors with an interest in professional development, simply register your interest and book your place.
How much does it cost ?
Members of EMCC £10.00 (incl. VAT) Non Members £15.00 (incl. VAT) If you are an EMCC UK member you will need to be signed into your account to register. If you are not an EMCC UK member please create a temporary account in order to register for the event.
