Yorkshire Network - Coaching and Mentoring in the Digital Era

A practical learning event hosted by Richard Davies MD of GPS Goaltrak, in which we will explore digital solutions for supporting our coaching practice.

Coaching and Mentoring in the Digital Era

  • Do you struggle to keep track of resources / journal articles / photos / press cuttings / things you find on the internet? Where do you keep this useful 'stuff'? How do you share it in the moment? You need a simple tool that makes things easy to find when you need them and wherever you are.
  • Do you find yourself wasting valuable time engaging in email 'ping pong' to get just one client session booked in the diary? Imagine if this could be done with just one email.
  • Does your client struggle to do what they say they are going to do after a coaching session? How do you help them stay on track and hold themselves accountable for actions between coaching sessions?
  • You typically engage in face-to-face coaching but sometimes clients request a session online - gulp! You've yet to find a simple, reliable, digital solution where technology is an enabler rather than a distraction. (i.e. screen freezing, fuzzy images etc.)

Do any of these challenges resonate with you? Swamped by too many different tools and apps? Or simply keen to get an update on what's out there?

Come and join us for a lively networking event led by Richard Davies who will be sharing his insights and tips for some of the best digital tools in the market place. Bring your laptop and / or your phone for this is to be a hands-on learning event! Equally if you have a brilliant app or programme, then this is the opportunity to share your insights.

Richard started his career in sales roles at Kellogg's before making a move into a global marketing role at Shell. His passion is people development and he managed to make the transition into Learning & Development where he was head of L&D at Shell Retail - responsible for the training of 500,000 people dotted across 62 countries. In January 2017, he launched a start-up software company that equips trainers to embed new skills and behaviours in individuals and helps coaches to increase accountability in their clients to take action on their commitments. He is married with two sons aged 12 and 14 and lives near Ilkley. Hobbies include photography and his weekend job is ferrying his sons to and from various sporting activities!
